Beautiful Group Accomodation
La Combe is a beautiful small castle, located in the Auvergne region in the very center of France, a 3,5 hour drive from Paris. The castle is surrounded by a private domain, containing a forest, a walled vegetable garden, meadows, a park and a natural swimming pool. The domain is obviously accessible for our guests.
The landscape around La Combe is very diverse: hills, little streams and woods and meadows that are srrounded by hedges and hedgerows.
From La Combe, it is a one hour drive to the famous French volcanic area: the Massif Central with the Puy de Dôme as one of the highlights. It is a popular tourist area and also popular with cyclists.
La Combe is right in between the towns of Moulins (50 min), Clermont-Ferrand (50 min) and the famous spa town of Vichy (60 min). Paris and Amsterdam are respectively on 3,5 and 8,5 hours, by car.
Many possibilities and modern amenities
The chateau is over 500 m2 and has 3 authentic spacious rooms (suites), equipped with good facilities, such as central heating, modern sanitary facilities and broadband internet via fiber. It is for rent as a whole for groups of max 15 persons.
Maison au château is a seperate house on the La Combe domain. It is a very comfortable apartment on the 1st floor with modern amenities. You also have access to your own private garden-terrace and the barn where you can play table tennis.
We love our guests
Joyce and Tim are experienced hosts, since they built their own B&B in 2017 in Amsterdam and have therefore gained a lot of experience as hosts. Most guests book through Booking.com and rate the accommodation with an average of 9.4. Also, Tim is the chairman of the Amsterdam association of Bed & Breakfasts.
Apart form being a host, Tim is co-owner and managing director of Pinch, a fast-growing technology company that develops mobile apps. Joyce and Tim have two daughters Ise (15) & Evy (13).
Since the girls were born, the family visited the Auvergne yearly during holidays and they fell in love with the stunning landscapes and tranquility of this undiscovered part of France.
